Lounging in the Bumbo

On Saturday, I got to hang out with Roscoe during the day. Alisha has put him into his bumbo chair frequently, but usually it's during the day and I'm at work. Sitting in this chair gives him a chance to look around and develop neck strength, but it also gives our arms a rest.

We played some games where I moved objects around and watched him track them with his eyes. He is getting good at following movement. As you can see in the video below, he's also starting to reach out for objects and hold onto them to maneuver them. Usually "maneuver them" translates to "put them into his mouth".

After a while, he started getting tired and spacing out.

Shortly after this video, he nodded off so I took him out of the chair and let him fall asleep laying in his crib. It was a fun day!

  1. It's fun to see him looking like such a big boy sitting up in a chair! We used to love the Bumbo - it gives babies a new perspective, which they seem to enjoy.
    He's so sweet!
