Rebuilding Roscoe

With so many people drawn in to Rosoe's fate and pleading for a safe outcome, we wanted to share some pictures to let you all see how he is faring. First, this is what his face looks like now. It is puffy because of the surgery and because a few days of medically-induced paralysis prevents his fluids from circulating. They said that once his paralytic medicine is stopped tonight at 10pm, his movement should bring his face back to normal.

He has also developed a bedsore on the back of his head, due to laying on it for three days during his paralysis. The bedsore isn't open, so there won't be a risk of infection. Fittingly, his bedsore has taken the shape of a heart.

Below is a picture that show's his little room section. The two screens on the left are his oxygen and nitric oxide breathing support. The green LED screened syringes along the back wall are his paralytic drug, the two painkillers/sedatives, his continuous stomach feedings, and dopamine.

  8. I have heard about your family from a mutual friend several months ago. I want you to know that I am praying fervently over your precious baby boy. I am weeping tears of sadness and joy as I read your words. The hospital Roscoe is at is literally around the corner from my house, and I can't help but feel intensely for you and your family. I praise God for progress, and I will continue to plead with Him for Roscoe's life. Love to you all tonight.

  12. In another blog, you said there was a twinkle of hope. I see his blanket under his heart mark says, "twinkle, twinkle little star!" I think a good nickname for Roscoe would be Twink, although he might not appreciate it when he's a teenager!
Thank you to all for your prayers. Please keep it up! Please pray to help this precious boy! I beg you, please pray.
